Since Last Time #1
Last week’s win: Sleep!
Last week’s win: Sleep! I can’t remember the last time I’ve had so many nights of good sleep. I’ve been trying very hard to get into bed around the same time every night, and the next goal will be to wake up at a consistent hour. I’ve been letting myself sleep in this week and doing so has really allowed me to feel energized once I do get up.
This week’s goal: Continue my morning meditation. I’m currently on day 5, and I am determined to not let that streak break. With the combination of enough hours of sleep and 10-minute guided meditations, I’ve been feeling absolutely lovely these past mornings.
Here’s what’s been going on according to my (point-and-shoot) camera roll for the past two weeks:

I attended a Lunar New Years festival with performances, local vendors, and amazing street food and desserts! I really wanted to eat one of every option, but my stomach couldn’t quite handle it all. On a different Sunday, Kyle and I took a walk on Ladybird Trail, where I got a hilarious sugar rush that energized me for the entire 3.5 miles.

Happy hours are one of my favorite things. We went to Aba one day when we didn’t know what to do with our time. We got lucky and snagged some open seating on the couch, and ended up making friends with the couple next to us. The happy hour quickly turned into a happy night, which we ended with Indian take-out and a movie.

We go to a weekly trivia at a brewery with some friends, but this week’s was bittersweet as it was our final goodbye to a friend moving out of state. (We ended up getting 4th place, our highest ranking ever).

My friend Alyssah hosted a Tacos and Tequila lunch in honor of National Margarita Day. I don’t think I could be more lucky than to have a friend who cooks and bakes the way she does. The al pastor tacos were truly the star of the show!

One of our favorite coffeeshops is just a block away from our apartment—both a blessing and a curse (only for how easy it is for me to spend money). A friend recently introduced me to oat milk lattes with sugar-free vanilla, and I loved it so much I decided to cease the means of production and get the ingredients myself. I am sure I’ll be making this drink every single day for the next month :)
